WHAT'S RAY BEEN UP TO?
IT'S ELECTRIC
Ray
makes the scene, appearing in the new music video "Electricity" for none other than Sir Elton himself. The video, directed by David Furnish (pictured), was shot at Pinewood Studios.
YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH
Ray
took the stage with fellow lookalikes "Jack" and "Liz" for
two versions of "Stars and Their Doubles" in Paris, France
and Rome, Italy.
RAY ENTERTAINS THE KIWIS
Ray
appeared in front of New Zealand's Prime Minister Helen
Clark and TV at a show called the Montana's
World of Wearable Art. The event, in its 17th year,
was held in Nelson (on the South Island of New Zealand) and
featured Ray closing the show with three songs for six nights.
The show included opera singers, trapeze artists
and the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company dancing around Ray's
piano!
THE SKY'S THE LIMIT
Ray
was picked to double for Elton where he performs the chorus
of his new single (old remix) Are You Ready apt are
you ready for the new season.
Ray is featured in the long shots seated at the piano, but
it might as well be a broomstick because you can't make out
the image
let
alone
him. Unfortunately for Ray he was not allowed down on set
set while Elton was there but there you go!
TO HULL AND BACK
Ray
went to Hulls' KC stadium to watch Hull FCs Rugby Super League
match vs. Castleford a few weeks prior to Elton's Concert.
R.E.J. STRIKES BACK!
Ray
was in Damstract, Germany, filming for their RTL's version
of Stars and Their Doubles. This caused
a bit of a stir, with police being called at one point and
the camera crew being
striped of their film. But to see the result of this mayem,
it's being screened on RTL 9.00pm CET time on the 20th September
2003.
BLIMEY!
Ray
was set up for another Daily Star appearance
(at least that's what we're telling the wife). The bodacious
babe left tongues wagging and one flabbergasted cabbie!
SEEING DOUBLE...
Ray
makes a cameo appearance in S Club's upcoming movie, "Seeing
Double" due in Spring 2003. Ray graces the silver screen
with fellow lookalikes "Michael Jackson" and "George
Michael" plus the UK's latest Pop Idol, Gareth Gates.
KEEPING THEM IN STITCHES...
Look for Ray on "Stitch Up" on CBBC and BBC1 later
this year. Watch as our Elt gives music industry advice to
an impressionable young band, with the help of the Prince
of Abergerdan.
YOU ARE THE WEAKEST LINK...GOODBYE!
Ray
appears on BBC1's The Weakest Link. The show
is scheduled to air Saturday, July 6, 2002 at 6.05 pm.
EAT THE RICH
Ray
gives Camelot's Regional Centre Manager, Sam Duffill, a helping
hand to find the mystery winner of a winning ticket worth
£104,902. Photo by Richard Bloomfield.
DRIVING THEM CRAZY
Ray
appeared at the opening of a BMW dealership in North East
England with Sunderland manager and BBC football pundit
Peter Reid.

I WANT MY MTV
Ray
will make an appearance in two upcoming videos, one for Spanish
singer Ana Ann's "Ride, Ride, Ride" and the other
for Jarvis Cocker's Pulp band's new single, "Cover Version
of Love."
CHANNEL 5
Ray can be seen wearing this broadsheet suit on the opening
shots of Channel 5's karaoke show "Night Fever" on Saturdays.
RAY GOES POP
Ray
just finished filming "Stars and Their Doubles"
@ITV. It goes out 16th August @8.30 to 10.00pm. Ray won in
the Pop category but alas come 2nd overall again (2nd year
on trott to "Del Boy" Trotter). An investigation
is now process why this has happened cos all the judges had
new Rollex'xxs on! We're not saying it's bent but keep your
eye on that "Del Boy"
Ray performed a duet with "George Michael" (Andrew
Browing) once again with a few bars of "Don't Let the
Sun..." that was enough! The show was hosted by Des O'Connor
with help from Clare from Steps and tidbits from John Inman,
John Altman, Joe Pasqule, Emma Forbes and Robert de Niro?
or was it? The judges were Clare Sweeney (Big Brother), Fiona
Phillips (GMTV) and Nigel Lythgoe (from Popstars Fame).
FORE!
Ray can be seen at the upcoming "Dave Lee's Charity Golf
Day" at Chartwell Golf Club Kent on 9th September 2001.
Celebs there will include Conley, Pasqule, Lee, Osman etc
and from sport Ball, Redknapp, Chivers and loads more!
ICH BIN EIN BERLINER
Ray,
who is not a doughnut, traveled to Berlin to see his counterpart
perform a solo show. The locals weren't quite sure what
to think of Ray; to avoid confusion he and fellow Elton
fan Andy Thorpe took refuge in the top level of the amphitheatre.
